Higashiyama lies between Hirafu and Annupuri and received worldwide attention when Hilton announced their management of the former Prince Hotel in November 2007.

Higashiyama, or "Niseko Village", offers a golf course, a world-class hotel and a ski area comparible to Hirafu. The ski hill has 7 lifts, 27 courses and a vertical descent of 895 metres.

The area is very popular in summer and there are plenty of activities such as golf, cycling, mountain biking and horse riding for visitors to enjoy. More recently Pure, a tree top course of ropes and bridges, was completed near the hotel. There is also the nearby Milk Factory which often has crowds swarming for fresh ice cream, cream pastries, trinkets and the fantastic views of Mt. Youtei over the farms.

Higashiyama is ideal for the visitor that likes to have everything on hand; the Hilton Hotel offers everything that is necessary during a winter or summer stay. Access to the other resorts is easy via the ski hill, or the Free Passport bus in winter, and the Gondola goes from the hotel directly to the top of the ski hill.

Real estate in Higashiyama has remained fairly static, mainly due to the lack of services outside of the Hilton Hotel and the lack of land available near the ski hill. Blocks on the access road leading to Annupuri have seen the highest investor interest due to their ski-home potential.

There are houses and blocks of land available on the road leading to route 343 and the road leading around the base of the hill which offer rental and capital gain potential at reasonable costs.
