Moiwa Nisekomoiwa area outline
Moiwa is a small, boutique ski hill located just 2 km to the west of Annupuri and The Niseko United area.

It has 2 main lifts, 7 courses and a modest vertical descent of 470 metres. The main reasons to ski in Moiwa are the acres of untracked on and off-piste and lack of crowds - it has the same snow as everywhere else in Niseko and fresh tracks are available most days.

The Moiwa ski hill has historically been very popular with the domestic market and most winter sports fans in Japan will recognise the name. The area has not changed much since international interest in Niseko began and it offers a glimpse of what the Niseko area was like prior to worldwide investment.

Moiwa is surrounded by several onsens (hot springs), parks and undisturbed nature. It is just a short drive to Annupuri to link up to the Niseko United and there are free buses transporting people to Hirafu several times a day.

Apartments in Moiwa Towers (above) were agressively advertised in 2007/2008 although the ambitious Miowa project was never completed. Land prices remain almost unchanged since international investment began and it offers an excellent chance to buy in at the bottom. Many of the large developers in Niseko have invested heavily in Moiwa although cheap blocks are still available within walking distance to the hill.

Moiwa offers an opportunity for investors looking to buy in at the bottom and has good potential for large captial gains due to the low prices. Land can still be bought for the same prices that gave investors such amazing growth in Hirafu.
